Show Fish, Game Laws Revised Little Utah sportsmen who expected sweeping changes in the fish and game laws of the state in an effort ef-fort to improve fishing and hunting hunt-ing could find little in the records re-cords of the 26th Utah legislature legisla-ture along that line. Most important measure passed pass-ed was SB 140, which provides that the board of big game control con-trol hold meetings in each of the big game districts of the state as a help in setting up the deer kill each season. Original provisions of the bill to change the makup of the board were cut to a point where the board remains virtually vir-tually the same. Proponents of a Sunday deer opening were content to take a fixed date of Oct. 25 for the opening, op-ening, which will at least place the day on Sunday every six or seven years or so. Another bill passed permits cancellation of hunting and fishing fish-ing licenses to anyone found guilty of violating fish and game laws, while another provides for licensing of fur dealers. |
