Those attending were Eva Sprousc, Ora Mecham, Janice and Jerry Spencer, Spen-cer, Virginia West, Arlcne Horrocks Hor-rocks and Dorothy Peterson After a week's vacation with his parents, Claire Duncan has returned to California. Word hasbeeu received that J. O. Peterson, son of Mrs. Nef-ton Nef-ton Peterson, formerly of Ncola, is seriously ill with rheumatic fever and is unable to attend school. The Petersons are now ' living in Ogden. i Lilith Baxter, who is employed in Salt Lake, was in Neola a few days last week. I Mr. and Mrs. Q. Allred and (sons, of Clearfield, have been 'visiting at the homo of their daughter, Mrs. Farris Henrie. I Community Club was held at the home of Khac Peterson, Tuesday Tues-day evening, Dec. 30. Twenty-four Twenty-four members were present. New officers were elected as follows: President, Alia Kimball; vice president, Lois Leavitt: secretary, secre-tary, Norma Crozier. Games were (played during the evening and 'prizes were won by Virginia Bas-tian Bas-tian and Elva Iorgc. A pot luck supper was served and names of secret pals were drawn. Mr. and' Mrs. Vcrl Harper, of Salt Lake, have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Harper's moth-! moth-! er. Mrs. W. K. Dye. After spending three years in the Army, Dick Curry received his discharge on Dec. 19. He was last stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wash. His father, Oren Curry, made a trip to California to sec him. Net and Irene Nickle, of Union, Un-ion, and Mr and Mrs. Milson Nickle, of Sandy, have been visiting vis-iting at the Paul Whiting home. Mrs. Xavier Bellon and family, were visitors at the home of their grandmother, Mrs. Emma Wimmcr. Mrs. Dwainc Hancock, of Salt Lake, was a Ncola visitor during the week. Edith Wilkerson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Wilkerson, of Ncola, has been called on a mission to the Northern States. She will leave for the mission field February 10. Sunday at Sacrament meeting, two babies were blessed: Diana Lynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Laris, by hex grandfather, grandfath-er, Royal Horrocks; and Maureen, Mau-reen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jensen, by her grandfather, Bishop Lionel Jensen. |
