C, where he will attend the National Encampment of 4-H Clubs, Boyd Lemon, of Ioka, advised ad-vised the Editor of the Standard that he would keep the "home folks" posted on his trip. This is the first word we have received receiv-ed from Boyd, who will represent repre-sent Utah at the encampment as a delegate. Salina, Kansas June 8, 1947 Dear Editor: I don't know just what has happened so far to be of interest. We are just traveling for Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, and not visiting anywhere. We did, however, visit Look-nut Look-nut Mountain and "Buffalo Bill" Cody's grave. I didn't realize he; was such a glamorous character i until I visited here. From Lookout Look-out Mountain, Denver can be viewed, and the plains beyond. It certainly seems strange to come right out of the mountains! into a great plain of waving grain. j I We stayed in Denver the night of June 7, and then traveled i from Denver to Salina, Kansas. i It is a wonderful trip. I will try and keep you posted post-ed if anything of interest occurs. Boyd Lemon! Utnh State 4-H Delegate Duchesne County 1 |
