Show Producers Livestock EVIarket News Cattle: The market this week is steady in all classes with one exception, that of cutter cattle which seem to be slightly weaker. weak-er. Good fed steers sold today for S15 to $15.50. Medium to good $12.50 to $14.50 with common com-mon kind down to $9.00. Few grass steers sold at $11 50 to $12.50. No fed heifers on the market. Few grassers selling at $11 to $12.50. Common dairy type $8 to $9.50. Good fed heifers quoted to $14. Fed cows were absent. Best grass cows sold at $10.50 to $11.25. Medium to good cows $6 to $7.50. Low canners down to $4.00 Good heavy bulls quoted to $10.50. Medium to good kind $8.00 to $10.00. Can-ner Can-ner bulls down to $6. Veal steady mostly $14.50 to $15.50 on good kind. Medium to good $12.00 to $14.50. Common calves down to $8.50. Hogs: the U. S. D. A. Pig survey shows a 24 reduction in the spring pig crop for this country as a whole. This seems rather conservative. Last year the large percentage of the spring crop came during June and July, so the spring pig crop proper is expected to be down 25 to 30 per cent. Top hogs are selling at the floor $13.50. 160 to 180 pound $10 to $11. 140 to 150 at $9 to $10. 180 to 270 $13.-50; $13.-50; 270 to 300 $10 to $10.50. Sows higher mostly $8 to $9. Stags $8 to $8.50 with 40 to 70 pound dock. Sheep: Good shorn ewes $6. Medium to good ewes $3 to $5.50. Canner ewes down to SI. 50. Light, yearlings $11 to Si2.50. Good spring lambs $14.50 to $15.25.
