Show Myton City News Section Pfc. Ray Lamb left Sunday for Chicago where he is stationed, He has been visiting his parents for the past two weeks. Lieutenant Dan Dennis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis came home for his furlough and telegramed to report back. He only spent 17 hours at home. Arvel J. Nielson, G. M. 3-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson Niel-son is now in Treasure Island going to school. The 4-H club met at the church and organized the club, June 15. Mrs. Edith Colton, loader; President, Presi-dent, Lorna Crapo; vice president, presi-dent, Elva Mott; secretary, Joan Gingell; chorister, Colccn Curtis and reporter, LaRue Linck. Mrs. Otto Lloyd and Mrs. Martha Curtis Cur-tis were visitors. June 22 they met at the home of Mrs. Wm. Hancock. They received their scrapbooks and a business meeting meet-ing was held. Pvt. Frank Uresk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mat Uresk, Sr., came on a furlough Saturday then went to Scoficld with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Uresk Sunday. Department vice commander and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Post commander and Mrs. L. P. An-derle, An-derle, Post adjutant Roland Krebs, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. I. R. Tut-tlc Tut-tlc and Harvey Partridge attended attend-ed the District convention, No. 5, American Legion at Roosevelt Sunday. Felix, Joe and Charlie Quan-tana Quan-tana went to Salt Lake City Wednesday Wed-nesday to find employment. Wilson Bywaters was here Tuesday night on business.. Mrs. Ray Lamb went to Salt Lake City Wednesday. Austin Copo went to San Francisco Friday. He is working in the radio signal corp. Austin has been visiting Mrs. Afton Richens and Mrs. Earl Gingell. Mrs. Dempsil Hemphill and Mrs. Earl Eggleston went to Salt Lake last week on business. Mrs. A. G. McCloskey of Hol- brook, Arizona, visited her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hunt, and daughters, Josephine and Gladys last Friday and Saturday. Miss Dorwin Combs went to Filmore Monday to visit her grandmother, Mrs. James Crapo. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Graham, Jr. returned to Meeker Thursday. They have been visiting his par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Graham. Their daughter stayed with her grandmother. Dail Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Peterson has been quite ill, but is some better at this writing. Mrs. Acel Bingham and baby came Sunday from Spokane where she has been with her husband hus-band who is stationed near there. Mrs. Charlie Quantant and family of Duchesne went home Monday. They have been visiting Mrs. Felix Quantana. Mrs. Ken Tinsley of California, Californ-ia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Lott returned home Sunday. Sun-day. Alma has been here two weeks. Mrs. M. C. Adams went to Roosevelt Saturday to consult a doctor and after a thorough examination ex-amination found her ankle had been out of place for some time. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart received re-ceived word that their son, Cpl. O. A. Dart was in Italy. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Verholc went to Salt Lake City Monday. Misses Helen Atwood and Sue Smith of Ogden who have been visiting at the Wing home left for Vernal Tuesday to visit relatives. rel-atives. Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Dart and family of Price were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart. Mrs. James By water and daughter left Monday for California Cali-fornia to join her husband. Mrs. J. Bywaters and Sarah accompanied ac-companied her to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Adams and Bonnie, Mr .and Mrs. M. Old-royd Old-royd and Joan Labrum were visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish Dal-gleish Tuesday. Mrs. Eldon Wall and daughter, Isabell of Provo were visiting friends Sunday. Frank DeFae, Miss Leo DeFae and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Roberts and baby were Myton visitors Saturday. Lois Davis, Effie Mercer and daughter, Bonnie and Mrs. B. M. Jolly and two sons were visiting visit-ing Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gingell last week. Mrs. Jolly's two sons remained for a visit. - Dortha Dart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart returned from Vernal Sunday. Dortha was operated on for appendicitis. |
