Show SOCIETY ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Todd announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alice, to Evan L. Olsen son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Olsen, of Neola. The wedding will take place Wednesday. June 11, in the Salt Lake Temple. JR CULTURE CLUB Monday evening, May 5, Jr. Culture club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Parley Rawl-ings. Rawl-ings. After a tempting dessert luncheon, Mrs. Clem Labrum presided over elections. Officers for the coming year were elected as follows: Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, president; Mrs. Gordon Harmslon, vice president; presi-dent; Mrs. Marvell Niclson. secretary sec-retary - treasurer; Mrs. Orson Stevens, historian; Mrs. .Bill Murdock, reporter. DINNER PARTY Fragrant bouquets of lilacs formed the decorations when Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd entertained at dinner Tuesday evening. Their guests included Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gleaton. BRIDGETTE Colorful bouquets of sweet peas were used as table decorations decora-tions at a dessert supper, Thursday Thurs-day evening, May 1, at the home of Mrs. Orson Stevens. Covers were laid for sixteen guests, including in-cluding Mrs. Mont Killian, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Jack Mohlman, Mrs. Bennie Schmielt, Mrs. Parley Rawllngs, Mrs. Ned Bellon, Carma Dee Harmston, Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Marvell Nielson, Mrs. Clem Labrum, Mrs. Johnnie Cook, Mrs. Bill Murdock, Mur-dock, Mrs. Albert Curtis, Mrs. Doug McKinley and Mrs. Kelly Redmond. NORMA DEANE CALL WEDS DEWEY JESSEN One of the loveliest nuptial events of the spring season was the marriage of Miss Norma Deane Call, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Call, of Price, and Dewey Jessen, son of Mr, and Mrs. Lee Jessen, of Altonah, The , marriage was solemnized in a candlelight ceremony perform-' ed Saturday evening, May 3, in I Duchesne, at the home of the bricVc's grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Levi J. Anderton. To the strains of the tradition-; al bridal music, played by Miss Vclma Todd, the nuptial party proceeded to a bower of spring flowers banked in profusion before be-fore a large window, where the nuptial riles were read by Mr. Levi J. Anderton. The bride was lovely in a gown of white brocaded satin, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline. She wore a finger-tip veil held in place by a tiara of ' forget-me-nots, and carried a bridal bouquet of white carnations carna-tions and roses. She was attended by her sister, Beth Call, who was attired in a floor length gown of lavender satin and net, accented by a corsage cor-sage of shell carnations. I The bride's mother chose an J afternoon dress of green crepe ! with a corsage of white carnations. carna-tions. Mrs. Jessen, the bridegroom's bride-groom's mother, chose a blue crepe model, with a white carnation carna-tion corsage; while Mrs. Lavi J. Anderton was attired in a black gown with white carnations. Immediately following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Jessen greeted friends and relatives at a reception. Refreshments featured fea-tured a beautifully decorated wedding cake topped with a min-lature min-lature bride and groom. Music during the evening was provid-1 ed by Miss Velma Todd, Avard A. Rigby, Mrs. Fern Moffi.lt, Ned Gines and Mrs. Rulon Anderton. Following a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Jessen will be at home to their friends in Altonah, where Mr. Jessen is employed em-ployed by the Calder Brothers Creamery. Relatives from outside points who attended the wedding included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Isiat, Mrs. Sarah Call, Col. and Mrs. Emerson Curtis, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Alyon Call, of Vernal; and Duane Call and Barbara Hansen, of Provo. ALTRUS Mrs. Ray S. Jordan was hostess hos-tess to the Altrus club at a delightful de-lightful luncheon at her residence resi-dence Wednesday evening, Mav 1. The book "Miracle of the Bells," by Russell Janney, was reviewed by Mrs. Alva Snow. Members present included Mrs. Paul Nelson, Mrs. Wm. H.
