Show BluebeiT 1 Mrs. Garda Seelcy Primary conference was held Sunday afternoon with ''Our Pioneers" as 'the theme. Each class presented a tableaux showing show-ing how our pioneers left their homes and came to Utah, About seventy children took part. Mrs. Marian Barrett was pleasantly pleas-antly surprised at a party Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon, A delicious pot-luck lunch was served. The guest of honor received a lovely ?ct of dishes. Guests present were Laura Seelcy, Zella Goodrich, Good-rich, Rubv Roberts. Hazel Goodrich, Good-rich, Dora Burdick, M. Verona Winkler, Lila D. Gale, Lucille Winkler, Garda Seeley, Vivian Powell, Ldia Hancock, Cleona Remington, Cora Wathen, Mina Goodrich an dMrs. Barrett. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goodrich, Good-rich, Mrs. Sylvia Goodrich and Mary Stevenson went to the Little Lit-tle Bonanza mine Tuesday night to get Mrs. Rulon Goodrich. Mrs. Goodrich fell while dancing and broke her shoulder bone. She remained here until Sunday. President and Mrs. Winkler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray and Mrs. Alice Mathews attended seminary graduation exercises at Altamont Sunday evening. Fontella Murray and Nona Mathews were among the graduates. j Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wathen have received word that their j son, Victor, is a presiding Elder I in the mission field at the Waterloo Water-loo Branch in Iowa. The M. I. A. held its closing social Tuesday evening at the ward chapel. A pot-luck lunch was served and the evening spent in dancing. Bluebell is honored to have four honor students out of six in the graduating class at Altamont Alta-mont this year. They are Beth Winkler salutatorian. Carma Goodrich, LaWanna Murray and Ada Mathews. These students have received A and B grades all through high school. The merits were based upon grade, scholarship and activities. Ralph Allred, of Altonah, is the valedictorian and Glenn Case, of Mt. Emmons, is the 6th honor student. Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee made a trip to Provo during the week to gather records for temple work. They returned home Saturday. Mrs. Ethel Robinson, Rob-inson, of Spanish Fork, accompanied accom-panied them. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Winkler and family - came in from the Gilsonite mines and spent a few days visiting. They had their baby blessed "Rachel Lynn" at Sacrament meeting Sunday. |
