Show Lapoint Mrs. Mabl Jenkins Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Bodily visited in Leota with Mrs. Bod-ily's Bod-ily's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Rogers. The Daughters of the Pioneers held their meeting at the home of Mable Jenkins on Thursday, April 24. The lesson was given by Eva Wilson. Ada Powell read a story of President Brigham Young and the "Mormon" pioneers. pio-neers. Refreshments were served by R. Lee, June Lee and Mable Jenkins. Sixteen members were present. Ardren Kump has sold his farm to Loris Wooley and has moved his family to town where he has rented the Art Taylor place. Ramona Harrison, of Price, 1 Jay Fillerup and children, of Jensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Carlin Harrison and children, of Vernal, attended the funeral services for George Kump on Wednesday, April 23. A Pioneer program and dance was given in the ward chapel Friday evening by the Special Interest class of Mutual. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to a large j crowd. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks visited Sunday with their son and daughter-in-law, Bishop and Mrs. Otis Horrocks of Bennett Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Murray of Farm Creek, visited Mrs! Murray's mother, Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, Saturday, Ed Kump, of Idaho, is staying with his sister, Barbara Nyberg. Caroline Thompson was a guest at the home of her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Bill Yack, last week in Neola. Arbun Wilkerson, of White-rocks, White-rocks, was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Workman, Work-man, Friday night. Mrs. Alfred Chrislensen went to Pop's Place, Colorado, to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gadd. Mrs. Jess Brough, of Randlett, visited her mother, Elizabeth Nebeker, Wednesday and attended attend-ed the funeral services for George Kump. Deloris Dunn, Mrs. Bill Gadd, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Karren and Mrs. Earl Gadd, of Pop's Place, Colorado, have been visiting Mrs. Alfred Christensen and family and Mrs. Lawrence Lee and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bryant, of Strawberry Valley, were guests of Mrs. Bryant's parents, Mr. and Mrs; Joseph Horrocks, on Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Perry, of Park City, were guests of Mrs. Perry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bigelow, last week. A heavy frost is ; reported to have damaged grain and fruit .in this vicinity. |
