Show Thanksgiving Supper A few friends were entertained entertain-ed at the home of Jack Bacon to a Thanksgiving supper with all the trimmings last Wednesday evening. After the dinner was served the guests attended the dance in Roosevelt. Those present pres-ent included: Nellie Miller, Anna An-na Labrum, Lorna Stoddard, Betty Sprouse, Shirley .Ross and Keith Walker, Kenneth Walker, Junior Davis, Wayne Timothy, Don Rudy, Corwin Labrum and the host, Jack Bacon. Neighborhood Sewing Club Mrs. Leah Allred was hostess to the members of the bridgette club at her home Wednesday evening. ev-ening. A lovely luncheon was served and an enjoyable evening was spent sewing. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs, Louis Laris, Mrs. Stanley Hall, Mrs. Delight Andrews, La-Rue La-Rue Allred, Mrs. J. S. Rawlings and Mrs. Earl Galloway, who was visiting here. Thought and Thimble Club Members of the Thought and Thimble cjub were entertained at the home of Mrs. Mable Allen Friday evening. Those present were Mrs. Faye White, Mrs. Pearl Redmond, Mrs. Opal Dili-man, Dili-man, Mrs. Clista Angus and the hostess, Mrs. Allen. A lovely luncheon was served and the evening ev-ening was spent sewing. Birthday Dinner Mrs. J. S. Rawlings was the honored guest at a Birthday dinner din-ner held Sunday at the Rawlings' Rawl-ings' home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Clifton Clif-ton Laris, LaRue Allred and J. S. Rawlings. Collins-Trimble Mr. and Mrs. Alma Collins of Salt Lake City, formerly of Roosevelt, announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Rouvoe to J. George Trimble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Trimble of Fillmore, Utah. The marriage took place November 22 in the L D S Temple, with President Chipman officiating. Miss Collins is a graduate of the Roosevelt High school and attended the L D S Business college. col-lege. Mr. Trimble graduated from the L D S Business college and is now employed by the Earl Paint Company. The young couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. Contract Bridge Club Mr. and Mrs. Sam G. Weiss entertained en-tertained the Contract Bridge club Tuesday evening. Dinner was served at the Legion Barracks, Bar-racks, after which the guests went to the Weiss home and played bridge the remainder of the evening. Those present included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. Wm. II. Ruppel, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Birch, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Orscr, Mr. and Mrs. R. S, Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Ferron, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Malin, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Marimon and the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Weiss. Friday Bridge Friday evening the Friday bridge club members were entertained en-tertained by Mrs. Fred C. Ferron Fer-ron at her home. A delicious desert luncheon was served after which tables were arranged for bridge. Those present were Thel Ruppel, Bee Jordan, Marcia Boren, Bor-en, Elsie Campbell, Mary Weiss, Letta Robbins, Blanche Murphy, Nell Wilkins, Marva Corbridge, Reva Huish, Myrtle Lambert, Elva McLea and the hostess, Mrs. Ferron. Women's Fish and Game Club The Women's Fish and Game club were entertained Monday evening by Mrs. Vivian Gleaton and Mrs. Faye White at the Gleaton home. Plans were discussed dis-cussed for the annual Christmas party which will be held some time in December. About twenty members were present, and the evening was spent sewing, Anderson-Olds Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Olds of Tillamook, Oregon, announces the recent marriage of their daughter, Veronica Ruth to Thomas L. Anderson S 1-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson of Roosevelt. Leroy (Andy) has been stationed at Tillamook since February, 1944, at the Naval Na-val Air Base. |
