Mrs. Dave Huish and Mrs. Bob Huish spent a few days In Salt Lake City this week. Mrs. Tina Wilkins is visiting in California with her daughter, Mrs. LaVoyle Weiss, whose husband hus-band was leaving for overseas. Mrs. Vera M. Hanson and daughter, Glenna of Roosevelt, are freshmen of the A C at Logan Lo-gan this winter. C. C. Mickelson of Duchesne, clerk of the Duchesne county school board, was in Roosevelt on business Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hansen of the Roosevelt Creamery, spent a few days this week in Salt Lake City on business. Albert Crumbo of the Crumbo Motor Company, spent a few days this week in Salt Lake City on business. Orson Mackey of Provo, at one time postmaster of Roosevelt was in Roosevelt Wednesday on business. Miss Mary Dillman who is attending at-tending the Utah Agricultural college was home for the holidays. holi-days. Mrs. Julia Owen, known to everybody as Grandma Owen, left Sunday for Idaho where she will spend the winter with her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Homer P, Edwards Ed-wards went to Bingham canyon for Thanksgiving. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Nelson. Mrs. Theo . Phillips returned Sunday from Ogden where she has been for the past two weeks visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Mark McGuire and family. Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken and family, accompanied by their son Guy, visited in Duchesne Du-chesne with friends Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Calder of Magna spent the Thanksgiving holidays at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ted Jensen of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. David Elmer of Hooper, Utah were here to spend Thanksgiving to take care of their interest here. They left Wednesday for their home. Mrs. Boyd Olsen, who is teaching school in Salt Lake City, spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Heber T. Hall in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair and son Billie, spent Thanksgiving with Mr. Bair's grandmother, Mrs. Mary Bell at Richmond. They returned home Sunday evening. ev-ening. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moysh left Sunday for Tuscon," Arizona where they will spend the winter win-ter months on account of Mr. Moysh's health. Ruppel, Basin manager accompanied accom-panied him to Vernal Tuesday. Mrs. H. A. Mclntyre, the former Alyce Jue of Ft. Duchesne, Du-chesne, went to Denver Saturday Satur-day where she took the plane to San Antonio, Texas, to see her husband who is in the U S army before he left for overseas duty. She will return to Ft. Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. David Evans of Salt Lake City spent the week end at the Dillman home. Mrs. Theodora McGill of Clov-is, Clov-is, New Mexico, spent last week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pulos. Her husband is stationed at Clovis with the United States army and she returned re-turned there Monday. Mrs. Earl Galloway who has been visiting here with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Andrews, An-drews, returned to her home in Santa Monica, California Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Galloway is the former form-er Miss Anna Andrews. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gagon and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gagon of California spent Friday afternoon after-noon in Roosevelt at. the home of Mrs. George Stewart. They were on their way to Iowla, Kansas to attend the funeral of Willie Gagon. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Duncan and boys of Neola, have moved to Salt Lake where they will make their home for the winter. They have four daughter living in Salt Lake. Hilery Workman and family have moved to the Duncan home in Neola.' Mrs. Marcia Boren and 18 month old son visited in Roosevelt Roose-velt a few days last week end. Mrs. Boren was here to take care of some of Dr. Boren's office fixtures stored here when he left for the U S service. Dr. Boren Bor-en is now serving in France. Miss Miriam Long returned last Saturday from Merced, California, Cal-ifornia, where she had been visiting the past three weeks. Her sister, Mrs. Irene Redford and daughter accompanied her home to spend some time. Mrs. 'Redford is the former Miss Irene Long. Elden Campbell, who is employed em-ployed at Sacramento, California, Californ-ia, spent Thanksgiving in Roosevelt Roose-velt with his wife and children, who are staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moysh. He returned to his work Sunday. Mrs. Campbell will remain here for some time with her sister, J Mrs. Mont Killian. |
