Show NEOLA Faye Jennings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mirl F. Jennings of Bridgeland and Clair Mills, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Mills of Neola were united in marriage at the- home of the brides parents par-ents last Friday, November 16th at G o'clock. Following the ceremony, which was witnessed by members mem-bers of the immediate families, a wedding supper was served. The young couple left later in the evening for a brief honeymoon. Both young people were former students of the Roosevelt high school. Several local men returned last week from a successful elk hunt in the Manti region. Those participating were Bishop Rex Gardner, Elmer Gardner, Cleon Alircd. Elliot and Otto Bisel. Each one was successful in getting gett-ing his elk. The Misses Veda and Vclda IToopcs of Tridell were week end guests at the Eskund home. Mrs. Dallas Spencer and son, Rawlin, spent the week end in Salt Lake City. Seth Asay nas purchased the Pickup farm and moved his fam-i ily there last week. Deone Spencer made a business bus-iness trip to Salt Lake City last week. Glen Kimball, who has been employed in Salt Lake City, returned re-turned home last week.' Mrs, Lois Leavilt spent the week end visiting friends in Pro-vo Pro-vo and Springville. Mrs. Verl Harper of Salt Lake City is visiting here at the W. K. Dye home. Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Labrum of Roosevelt were dinner jzucsts at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Curt Baslain. Harold Whiting left recently for Los Angeles where he. will be employed during the winter months. Kenneth Allred of Mapleton arrived to take his family back home. They had spent the past week here. Mrs. Dayhene Clcgg and son of Laylon, arrived here to spend Thanksgiving holidays with her mother, Mrs. Delia Spencer. Mrs. George Leavilt left Friday Fri-day for her home in Salt Lake City, after visiting here for some time Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson Peter-son left for Joseph to attend the funeral of Mrs. Peterson's grand-I grand-I mother. , waiter wimmei- ui onu uaixv; City was a recent visitor in Neola. Seven primary teachers from Neola attended the convention at Roosvelt last Saturday. Mrs. Samantha Peterson is visiting in Provo. LeGrande and LaMar Gardener Garden-er left last week for California with cattle belonging to L. D. Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis were Salt Lake visitors last week end. The doctor and nurse from the Indian Agency were checking the health of the Indian children at the Neola school last Monday. Several local boys in the armed arm-ed forces have returned to Neola during the past week, wearing the broad smile and honorable discharge button which is indicative in-dicative of a good job finished. Among recent arrivals are: Woodrow Wilkerson, who has .seen action in the European war; Don Gardner, also recently re-! turned from Europe; James Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, who has been stationed in Mississippi; Lynn Dye, who has been in the Marshall Islands. Bishop and Mrs. Rex Gardner were Vernal visitors last Monday. Mon-day. A Triple A meeting was held in the chapel last Tuesday, to finish up the program for 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allred of Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allred of Salt Lake City visited relatives in Neola last Monday. |
