Show j Lions Club Fetes District Governor The Roosevelt Lions club, at its meeting on November 15, J was host to District Governor Edwin C. Randall of Ogden. Mr. Randall, whose jurisdic-covcrs jurisdic-covcrs all Utah Lions clubs in the north, west and eastern sections of the state, was making his annual an-nual visitation to the local organization. organ-ization. As the speaker of the evening, Mr. Randall discussed the growth of the Lions club into an international organization founded upon service, tolerance, and friendship. He stressed particularly par-ticularly the effect the Lions club youth movement is having upon the younger generation. "We can be of no greater service to a community, com-munity, stale or to our nation than to further the cause of good citizenship among our young people," said Mr. Randall. Thirteen members of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Lions club were honored for their active participation in the clubs meetings during the year. Willard Day, chairman'of the boys and girls committee, reported report-ed on the success of the annual Hallowe'en party sponsored by the Lions club. He called attention atten-tion to the fact that as a result of the party less property damage dam-age is experienced in Roosevelt on Hallowe'en night. After the close of the regular session, District Governor Randall Rand-all met with the officers of the Roosevelt club to discuss Lions club business. |
