Show Recent Bride fMMm n r' Mi - 4f '-j An October wedding In a lovely love-ly home setting was that of Miss Minola Horrocks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Horrocks, of Neola, and Donald Laris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Laris, of Roosevelt, who were married at the home of the bride's parents on Sunday evening, October 27. The bridal party stood before a beautiful bower of pink and white carnations, while the double-ring ceremony was read by Bishop Otis Horrocks, of the Bennett ward, a cousin of the bride. The bride given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a traditional gown of white satin, entrain, styled with a sweetheart sweet-heart neckline and long sleeves. Her fingertip veil, edged in wide lace, was caught to a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. car-nations. She was attended by her sister, Modena Horrocks, as bridesmaid, brides-maid, who was attired in a floor (length gown of delicate pink sheer. Little Lorraine Laris, the bridegroom's niece, and Arakc Horrocks, the bride's sister, flower flow-er girls, were attired in short white dresses and wore pink ribbons. Young Shirl Rawlings, a nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer. Clifton Laris, the bridegroom's brother, was best , man. The bride's mother chose an 1 afternoon dress of black sheer wool with a corsage of red and ! white carnations. Mrs. Laris, the bridegroom's mother, wore a dress of grey crepe accented by a red and white corsage. Assisting at the reception which immediately followed the ceremony were Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. Parley Rawlings and Miss Arlene Horrocks. A four-tiered wedding cake, frosted in white with pink decorations and topped top-ped with two white doves, formed form-ed the center decoration on the serving table. Both Mr. and Mrs. Laris are graduates of the Roosevelt high school, Mrs. Horrocks being a member of . last spring's graduating graduat-ing class, of which she was co-valedictorian, co-valedictorian, and Mr. Laris having graduated in the spring of 1944. Mr. Laris returned home on May 5, 1946, after serving with the Medical Corps attached to the 93rd Field Hospital, stationed station-ed at Manila in the Philippines. He entered service in June, 1944 and was sent overseas March 28. 1945. After a wedding trip to Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Laris are now at home to their friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Laris in Roosevelt. |
