Show OPA Fixes Shoe Ration Holiday WASHINGTON, June 12 The office of price administration Monday named the three-week period July 10 through July 29 as a rationing "holiday" for limited quantities of "odd lot" shoes which dealers are unable to move from their stocks under the rationing program. Consumers will be able to buy certain types of men's and women wo-men s shoes and youths and boys shoes in sizes one to sLx without surrendering ration stamps during the specified period. per-iod. Under the new provision, OPA officials estimated, possibly 7,000,000 pairs of shoes will be made available to consumers without the usual procedure of surrendering ration stamps. |
