Show ARCADIA Mrs. Elsie Bird SX5SSSSS2K2S Mr. and Mrs. Marval Marrctt ! and daughter's, Josephine and Nona, of California, are visiting at the home of their son and brother and sister-in-law, Mr. land Mrs. George Marrett. Thomas R. Cope arrived Sat-'urday Sat-'urday after spending three years in California, two years of which were spent in the L. D. S, mission field. He expects to spend a month here looking after his farming interests before returning re-turning to Salt Lake where he will be employed. John and Kenneth Zirker spent one day last week in Logan Log-an on business. The ladies met at the ward house Tuesday to quilt a crib quilt made by the Lark girls and a Sunbonnct quilt made by the first and second years Zion boys and girls of the Primary. Thursday afternoon, under the direction of President Dena Richens. the Primary held their fall fetival. A very enjoyable time was spent in a program, stories and the music of a rhythm band of home made instruments. Popcorn balls and apples were served. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shanks were visitors at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Cl'ff McKenna spent Sunday in Myton visiting friends and relatives. Charlie Bird returned to work at Safeways after spending a week's vacation at home with his family. Lavor Richens went to Mont-wel Mont-wel to play baseball. Lavor plays with the Myton team. Pfc. Delmer Ross returned to the Veterans hospital in Denver after spending thirty days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross. Sunday at. Sacrament meeting six girls graduated from the Seagull Sea-gull class in Primary. They were Joanne Holgate, Merlynn Ross, Marilyn Zirker, Delaine Bird, Pauline Larson and Ellen Gilbert. Gil-bert. Darrell Josie, of Tabiona, was an over-night guest Saturday of BishoD and Mrs. Marion Ross. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields Sunday Sun-day and Monday were William Sagers and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Shields and daughter, daugh-ter, Shirlev. Ralnh Shields and Wayne Shields made a trip to American Fork to pick up Ralph Shields' furni'ure. School buses started rolling Monday morning. The children are all happy to be going back to school. |
