Show Bluebell Mrs. Garda Seeley Mrs. Mary Wardell and little Clara Stevenson, daughter of Mrs. Zola Stevenson, came home Wednesday, after spending the past three weeks in Salt Lake, where the little girl had an operation op-eration on her foot. The Primary officers and the school teachers held a Thanksgiving Thanks-giving party Monday for the children of the Bluebell ward. A splendid program was given after which the children enjoyed little folks dances. Popcorn was served to about 85 people. Lloyd Goodrich, Mrs. Hazel Goodrich and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Seeley and three children, and Mrs. Laura Seeley were at Vernal Saturday having dental work done. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Richman and Boyd Goodrich are home from the Brigham Young university univer-sity because of the coal strike which has caused the closing of the school. On Friday evening the family of Bishop and Mrs. Gardner Goodrich held a family gathering gather-ing at their home. Those present were Bishop and Mrs. Goodrich, Marilyn, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Seeley and three children, of Bluebell, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Monson, of Mt. Emmons, and Mr. and Mrs. Alma Richman, of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith were pleasantly surprised on Thanksgiving when their son, Franklyn, gave them a new electric elec-tric refrigerator. Franklyn, who is employed in Salt Lake, spent a few days visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen spent Thanksgiving at Utahn with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Broad-head. Broad-head. Mr. and Mrs. Harold White and three children, of Myton Bench, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Anderson An-derson and two children, of Roosevelt, were Thanksgiving guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson,. An-derson,. The small sons of Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Goodrich were blessed bless-ed at Sacrament meeting, Sunday. Sun-day. The family of Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich were gathered together to-gether on Thanksgiving day for the first time in about six years. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray entertained en-tertained the following Quests at a Thanksgiving dinner: Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rogers and family, of Mt. Emmons; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gallyer and daughter, of Bridgeland, and Arthur Timothy, Timo-thy, of Altonah. Prpsident and Mrs. Bernard Winkler and daughter, Beth, and Miss LaWanna Murray were among those who attended the missionary farewell party at Altonah Al-tonah on Thursday night for Miss Sarah Murray. Beth and LaWanna sang a duet for the program. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Powell and children, Mrs. Mildred Red-ford Red-ford and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harve were, guests at the James W. Powelf home on Thanksgiving. Mrs. Vivian Powell was taken to the Roosevelt hospital, Tuesday. Tues-day. Kenneth Goodrich and Bill Bird left Sunday for Duchesne where they have employment. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Goodrich during the Thanksgiving holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Goodrich and son, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Goodrich Good-rich and son, Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Goodrich and Boyd Goodrich. Good-rich. Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee went to Altonah Saturday to assist as-sist Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Farns-worth Farns-worth dtfring the sickness of their daughter. They returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Atwood and children were Thanksgiving guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Miles at Mt. Emmons. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Miles and children were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Atwood. An unusual but very interesting interest-ing program, a demonstration of a family home evening, was given on Sunday evening by President Winkler and family. Mrs. .Vola Hancock and two children went to Salt Lake City to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. Hancock. |
