The monthly meeting of the A D U P was held in the Relief J Society room last Sunday even- ing. Thirty five members enjoyed the lesson "Historical Data From Old Letters and Documents". Lawrence Keel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Keel was honored at a family dinner at his home last Monday evcning.Tucsday evening even-ing his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mecham, entertained close relatives at a dinner party in his honor. Visitors in Neola from Spring-ville Spring-ville are Mr. and Mrs. James D. Mecham and their children, Orvil Glenna and Leo. The latter is here on leave from the navy. Mrs. Oluf Duncan underwent an anpendectomy last Friday in the Roosevelt hospital. Latest reports re-ports are that she is recovering nicely. Mrs. Harvey Riggle has accepted accept-ed a teaching position in the La-point La-point school. Two young matrons of Neola were made happy recently by the news that their husbands had received" their military discharges dis-charges and would be home soon. Mrs. Nina Ludlow, county nurse, has received word that her husband hus-band is arriving from Iran. Mrs. Melvin Bingham is rejoicing that her husband will soon be home from the Pacific area. Several of the younger boys participated in the boxing bout which was held in Whiterocks last Thursday evening. Results for the local boys were as follows draws were fought by Rawlin Spencer, Dick Peterson and Mel-lin- Sprouse. Aral Allred won , from his opponent. Neola students attending the 'Roosevelt high school were enter-I enter-I tained at the home of Miss Carma I Asay last Sunday evening. Gam- es and refreshments were enjoyed, enjoy-ed, after which the group attended attend-ed -the show in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Tal Wardle spent a few days in Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Jennie Keel of Provo is visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jarvis of Tal-mage Tal-mage were Neola visitors last Friday. Matt Zager made a business trip to Ft. Duchesne last Thursday.
