A meeting to organize a permanent per-manent community chorus and to perfect a schedule has been called cal-led for Monday at 8 p. m. in the Roosevelt stake house. U "Dolph" Galloway, of Portland, arrived Saturday for a ten-day visit with Dr. Galloway's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Leon jGalloway. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harm-ston Harm-ston returned Monday afternoon from a 2-weeks' vacation spent at Lava Springs, Idaho, .Sacramento .Sacra-mento and Boys Springs, Calif. Mrs. ThoraiHendricks, the former for-mer Thora' Sabe, of Sacramento, and her son, Jimmy, returned with them f$r a short visit. - Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Birt-cher, Birt-cher, Levi Roberts and Mrs. S. S. Rutman arid children returned to their homes in Idaho, Sunday morning, after a 10 day visit in Roosevelt with their parents and other relatives and friends. Mr. Roberts and; Mr. Birtcher plan to open a cafe at Riggins, Idaho. Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel, Jr. and son, Mike, drove to St. George Tuesday with . Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison returned., to. Roosevelt on Thursday Mr; Huppel will remain in. St, George for an indefinite in-definite period while convalescing convales-cing from a recent illness. Her sister, Mrs. Dan Wall, of Salt Lake City, is staying in St. George with her. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Richman visited in Provo and Salt Lake the latter part of the week. j Mrs. Kelly Redmond left Roosevelt Roos-evelt Wednesday lo take a refresher re-fresher course in dancing under Jimmy Gallagher, of Denver. Mr. Gallagher, a well-known dance instructor, is just back from Hollywood with many new ideas and clever dances with which Mrs. Redmond expects to supplement her own instructions when her fall dancing courses are resumed on October 20. Mrs. Redmond will visit in New Mexico with her mother, Mrs. G. A. Taylor, before returning re-turning to Roosevelt. Rapid transportation is fast becoming a habit with the Bennie Ben-nie Schmietts. They flew to Grand Junction with Mr., and Mrs, Clem Labrum last Sunday morning for breakfast; and on Tuesday morning they were off by plane for Salt Lake City. They enjoyed a day of shopping and fun and flew back to Roosevelt Roose-velt Wednesday, afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Colltngham ' returned last Thursday from a 3-week vacation trip to Southern California. David Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Wilson, of Roosevelt, will leave October 13th to enter the Church of Jesus Christ of Letter-Day Saints Mission Home in Salt Lake City, where he will receive instructions before leaving leav-ing for the East Central States mission, to labor for approximately approxi-mately two years in missionary work for his church. Following completion of his high school education, Elder Wilson Wil-son attended the Utah Agricultural Agricul-tural College, where he was a student at the time he enlisted in the Army. He was released after a year of service in the army and resumed his school work at Brigham Young University. Univer-sity. The L. D. S. Roosevelt ward honored David with a farewell party following M.I.A. Thursday, Thurs-day, October 9.
