Show 4-H Teams Will Represent Utah At Portland Show Four Utah 4-H club members will represent the Bee Hive state at the 37th Pacific International l Livestock Exposition being held at Portland, Ore., October 3-11, David Sharp, Jr., Utah State Extension Ex-tension 4-H club leader, announced an-nounced today. Barbara Vernon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Vernon, and Mar Gene Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Brown, all of Hoytsville, were selected to give an ice cream making demonstration, demonstra-tion, while Leland McNeil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland McNeil, and Estella Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Jenkins, all of Vernal, will give a demonstration demonstra-tion on fly control around house and barn at the Portland show. Mrs. Martha Tremelling was 4-H leader of the ice cream making mak-ing team, while Vertus McCon-kie McCon-kie and Lorin Hackint? wftp leaders of the fly control team. These two teams were selected select-ed at the recent Utah 4-H Centennial Cen-tennial exhibition to represent Utah at the northwest event. They are being accompanied to Portland by County Agent and Mrs. William C. Whitaker, of Vernal. In addition to sending the two demonstration teams, Utah, for the first time in six years, will send exhibits to the Pacific International In-ternational show, Mr. Sharp an- nounced. This year entries will be sent in canning and clothing. They will be as follows, as selected at the recent state 4-H exhibition: exhibi-tion: Canned goods: Cherries, apricots, apri-cots, corn and beef, Jo Ann Tat-ton, Tat-ton, Mantl; boysenberries, Anna Lou Hess, Farmington; apricots. La Rene Mayfield, Farmington: dewberries, Janet Cragun, Og-den Og-den RFD 3; pears, Marion Rhees, Ogden RFD 3; corn, Nola Rae Butler, Pay son RFD 1; lamb chops, Alene Gibson, Cedar City RFD; chicken, Colleen Cowles. 1 Escalante. Clothing: Cotton school dresses, dress-es, Dorothy Seamons, Hyde Park; Doris Keller, Manti; Viv- ian Peterson, Lyman; Aria Dick-erson, Dick-erson, Nephi; Betty Mae Dunk-ley, Dunk-ley, American Fork. Winter school dress or suit and slip or blouse: Janet Pond, Richmond RFD; Charlene Lind, Midvale; Carole Call, St. George. Woolen suit with lined jacket and slip: Donna Mae Feulner, Magna; Glenna Bracken, Nephi; Clara White, Lyman; Shyrl Dee Dustman, Dust-man, Tremonton.
