Show Traffic Conference Called For Legion Barracks, Tuesday A traffic court conference will be held in Roosevelt, Tuesday, Tues-day, October 4, at 2:30 p. m. in the Legion hall, according to Mayor Homer P. Edwards. The local conference will be one of several to be held throughout the state during September and October. The objective of the traffic court conference is to create greater interest, knowledge, and cooperation from traffic judges, justices of the peace and prosecutors, prose-cutors, and to effect a better understanding un-derstanding and cooperation between be-tween judges, justices of the peace, prosecutors and peace officers of-ficers of the slate, counties, and municipalities. It is intended also to create and maintain interest and support of all state officials and the general gen-eral public in better administration administra-tion of traffic laws and to aid in reducing the tremendous loss of life and property due to the. high toll of traffic accidents. The conference committee conducting con-ducting the panel discussions of the traffic court meetings are the Attorney General, Superintendent Superin-tendent of the Utah Highway Patrol, Pa-trol, representatives from the Utah State Bar Association, Chief Justice of the supreme court, director of the driver's license division of the State Tax Commission, Com-mission, representative of the Juvenile Ju-venile court, and the executive director of the Utah Safetv Coun cil. It is hoped these meetings will encourage audience participation participa-tion in discussing some of the local problems that communities communi-ties are confronted with in the handling of traffic accidents, and some of the essential procedures pro-cedures necessary in connection with court procedure, enforcement enforce-ment of the laws and penalties assessed for violation, and education. edu-cation.
