Show Bluebell i Mrs. Garda Seeley Bluebell held its annual Gold and Green Ball on Tuesday evening eve-ning with the Bridgeland orchestra or-chestra furnishing the music. Miss Fontella Murray was chosen chos-en queen and Glen Jenkins was Prince Charming. Little Janet Seeley was crown bearer. The following little girls participated in the floor show, which was in keeping with the Centennial theme: Helen Hancock. Shanna Lee Winkler, Carolyn Goodrich, LaR-e Monson, June Powell. Elsie El-sie Bird, Elaine Jenkins. Mai' lyn Atwood, Daphine Lisonbce. Atwood. Dressed in Centennial dresses they danced the Varsor vienne. Carma Goodrich, Clyde Lisonbee, Doris Allred. R. G. Lisonbee, Beth Winkler. Wallace Stevenson, Melvin Bird. LaVern Powell, President Bernard Winkler. Wink-ler. Maxine Winkler. Fave Lisonbee Lis-onbee and Buddy Bird demonstrated demon-strated a waltz. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee, of Bridgeland, visited here Tuesday evening with relatives and attended the Gold and Green Ball. Miss Marie Jenkins. Henry Jenkins and Mr. Hamaker, of Ogden. visited a few days here with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jenkins. They returned home on Wednesday. Wednes-day. A number of our folks attended attend-ed the banquet and show at Roosevelt, given by the J, V. McLea store on Tuesday. Mrs. Vola Hancock and two children. Buddy and Helen, and Shirley Hancock spent the week end visiting relatives in Salt Lake and Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith and three children, of Helper, Mrs LaRene Kimball and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kimball, of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, visited Saturday and Sunday Sun-day with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. GarneJ Birtchell and children were also guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Goodrich on Sunday. George Vangundy and Mrs. Florence Digby were Vernal visitors vis-itors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bristol announce the arrival of a bab boy, born at the Roosevelt hospital hos-pital last week. Ernest Winkler came in from the Gilsonite Mines and took his wife and new baby daughter from the Roosevelt hospital to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Shel-by Lisonbee at Bridgeland. His other children will remain in Bluebell with their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee, Lison-bee, tuntil their parents return to the mines. Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee visited at the Shelby Lisonbee home at Bridgeland, Sunday The Centennial committee held a meeting Thursday evening at the home of Lyman Burdick. They are planning a dance and other entertainments to promote enthusiasm among the people. Miss LaWana Murray accompanied accom-panied Mr. Wilcox, the high school principal, to Salt Lake over the weekend to practice singing for the Musical Festival which will be held in Salt Lake the latter part of March. La Wanna Wan-na is a soprano. R. A. Murray, of Salt Lake City, visited on Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray. |
