Show 5XSXSXSXSX5SX2X2XSXSXS BLUEBELL OLD FOLKS PARTY HELD SATURDAY Saturday afternoon Bluebell Ward entertained the old folks at a party in the chapel. They were received at the door and made welcome by the following girls dressed in formals: Norma Hancock. LaRene and Jeanne Goodrich, Betty Lou Seclcy, De-lores De-lores Drollinger and Beth Winkler. Wink-ler. They were ushered to a studio couch or rocking chair placed in the lower part of the hall. A delicious chicken dinner was served with noodle soup, dressing, creamed potatoes and a vegetable, fruit, salad, hot rolls with ice cream and cake as dessert. des-sert. The table, which extended through the entire hall, was beautifully decorated with a group of stars and stripes for the centerpiece. Favors were miniature minia-ture flags set on a red,, white or blue foundation. The patriotic color scheme was red, white and blue. Old Glory was displayed and twenty-nine honored guests were served. Soft music was played during the first part of the party. After dinner a program was enjoyed. Lucille Winkler was mistress of ceremonies. Songs to bring back memories of courtship, court-ship, marriage and life, "Go Feather Your Nest," "Beautiful Dreamer," "When your Hair Has Turned to Silver," "When I Grow Too Old to Dream," were sung by Jeanne and LaRene Goodrich, Norma Hancock and Betty Lou Seeley; harmonica duet, du-et, Frank and Martha Smith; Duet, "Among My Souvenirs", by Beth Winkler and Jeanne Goodrich, pantomined by Delor-es Delor-es Drollinger; history and memories memo-ries by Jennie E. Goodrich; quartette, "When You and I Were Young "Emily", panto-mined panto-mined by Levison Hancock and wife, Emily, sang by William and El vera Telford, William Lar-sen, Lar-sen, and Gardner Goodrich; "Silver "Sil-ver Threads Among the Gold," was sung by Mr. and Mrs. William Will-iam Telford; the benediction was by Robert A. Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Goodrich Good-rich were visitors in Mt. Emmons Em-mons Sunday afternoon. William and Oran Bird were Duchesne visitors Monday. Mullins Hill delivered a load of coal here Saturday night and moved Mr. and Mrs. Preston Asay, their two small sons and their furniture to Price. Mrs. Ned McCluskey and daughter, Shari Kay of Tooele, are here visiting Mrs. ' McClus-key's McClus-key's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert A. Murray. Mrs. McCluskey's husband is serving in the U.S. Army. Morris Monson of Altonah, was visiting his brother, Ross and family Tuesday. Morris is home on furlough. Lyman Burdick, William Telford Tel-ford and Duane Hancock spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Salt Lake City on business. Miss Lorraine Benson returned return-ed to her work in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning after visiting visit-ing the past two weeks here with her sister, Lois Goodrich. Martin Hancock received a foot injury while riding on a sleigh. Roosevelt visitors Monday were: Evan, Owen and John Goodrich, Betty Lou Seeley, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wathen and William Telford. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Thacker and family of Mt. Emmons, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Monson. |
