Show Ward Reunion to Be Held Annually The Ward Reunion held Tuesday, Tues-day, February 22, proved to be a great success with 900 of the 1200 ward membership participating. partici-pating. 400 children attended the childrens' party held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon and 500 adults injoyed the banquet, program and dance held that evening. The following people participated partici-pated on the program given during dur-ing the banquet under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Lela Labrum: Bonnie Bon-nie Hanson, piano solo; Lorrine Briggs, vocal solo; Colleen Pitt, reading; Bette Sprouse, piano 'solo; Kay Edrington, musical reading accompanied by Mrs. Labrum; Beth Sturgeon, musical reading; piano solo, Mary Ellen Stewart and Frank Walker, voc-cal voc-cal solo. A patriotic theme was carried out in the main program directed by Marden Broadbent and recognition was given to the following boys serving in the armed forces v'.wwere present at the program: Dahl Gardner, Gordan Harmston, Lee Harmston, Harm-ston, Karl Roberts, Floyd Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, Ken Workman and George Henderson. The program consisted of two vocal solos by Wilma Wogec; two violin selections select-ions by Harry K. Woodward accompanied ac-companied by Anne Warnock; History of the Roosevelt ward by Heber T. Hall and two saxa-phone saxa-phone solos by Bartley Heiner. The committees in charge were the officers of the Relief Society with Mrs. Gertrude Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, chairman of the banquet Mrs. Jane Page, the president of the Relief Society and the members mem-bers of the Relief Society, the MIA with Golden Collins and Carma Winterton, the leaders of the ward MIA, and Marden Broadbent, entertainment of the games and stunts. The MIA headed head-ed the committees of the dance at which the Boy Scouts and Bee Hive Girls gave a very clever Victory March in the Floor Show. Mrs. Sarah Johnson furnished fur-nished the centerpices for the tables and the main foyer was bright with potted plants. The ward officials were well pleased with the response of the membership and plan to make the Ward Reunion an annual affair. |
