Show BLUEBELL The following program was given at Sacrament meeting on Sunday by the Advanced Senior class of the Upalco ward: Talks, Love, Berniece Carrol; Greatness Great-ness of Joseph's song, Berlie Iorg; duet, Mighty Like a Rose; Mrs. Grant Hanson and Miss Ellen El-len Evans; missionary work today, to-day, Joyce Rogers; reading, All is Well, Ellen Evans. Duane Hancock left Monday for a business trip to Salt Lake City . Roosevelt shoppers on Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews Math-ews and daughter, Erdria, Claud and Henry Allred, Sylvia and Leonard Goodrich, Mrs. L. Bur-dick Bur-dick and Dora Burdick. Victor Wathen spent a1 three day furlough here with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wathen. Wath-en. Victor is in the Marines and has been receiving his training at San Diego, California. A party-was party-was given in his honor Thursday Thurs-day evening. Kenneth Goodrich, William Hancock, Fred Mathews and Norman Goodrich enjoyed a fishing trip at Petty mountain last week. Ted Harmston, Leland Goodrich Good-rich and Everett Goodrich returned re-turned home Friday night from a six day fishing trip. They report re-port a good catch. Mrs. Vivian Powell and daughter, Lucy attended the Ewells Golden Wedding anniversary anniver-sary at Sandy on the 27th of July. Mrs. Powell is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ewcll. Miss Vida Kennison and Miss Lena Belle Kofford of Talmage visited here last week with Mrs. William Larsen and Miss Donna Rae Powell. The Bee Hive girls and their leaders left for a two day excursion ex-cursion at Mt. Timpanogus. They also plan on swimming at the Hot pots at Midway. Mr. and Mrs. Les Atwood of Mt. Emmons have bought the upper part of the John Thorsen ranch. They are living for the present in the Dave Robert home. Mrs. Henry Wathen and daughter, Karen left Saturday for Salt Lake City to visit Lorcn Hansen. The Hansen's announce the arrival of a baby girl. Mrs. Hansen is the former Wanda Wathen of here. Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Birtchell visited in Bluebell on Sunday. Dale Stone of Lehi visited here with relatives on Monday. He brought Miss Deanne Case of Mt. Emmons home from Lehi where she has been receiving medical attention. The county is putting in some needed culvets this week. Word comes that Sgt. Tal Bird and Cpl. Harry Smith had the privilege of seeing each oth-l er somewhere in New Guinea about the first of July. Harry and Tal are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hancock and Mrs. Alice Howells of Pleasant Valley and Mrs. Lois Peterson of California visited here Sunday with relatives. |
