X received from the State ;I ; Publicity and Development !; commission in as much as ! J; this is the only Indian Day !; ;! celebration known to be )' j! staged in the entire west. ;! !; It is not only an education !; to the Indians, but a won- !; J; derful opportunity for the !; j! whites of the state to be- !; come better, acquainted ;! with their great American '! j brothers. ; J; The celebration in past !; S years has brought our Gov- J j! ernor and other state offi- jl i cals closer to the needs of j! !; the citizens of the Basin, ; both Indians and Whites, !; S and Governor Maw has en- ; ;! dcared himself to the In- ;1 dians by being inducted in- ;! i to the Ute tribe and is known as Chief - White I !
