Show Neola City News Section Parly Honors WAC Last Wednesday evening, Bishop Bis-hop and Mrs. Rex Gardner entertained en-tertained a few friends at their home in honor of their daughter Audrey, who has been home on a furlough. The time was spent in games, after which delicious refreshments were served to the Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gardner, Elmer El-mer Gardner, Glendon Rhoades, Wilford Oberhansley, Hap Ap-good, Ap-good, Ferris Henrie, Arthur Hut- cheon, LaZell Henrie, Don Allred, Al-lred, Clcon Allred, Theron Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, Mrs. Louis E. Allred, Mr. Ren Gardner, Jerry Gardner. Verona Gardner and the guest of honor. Miss Gardner left Friday for Ft. Riley, Kansas, where she is stationed. D. U. P. Meet Lillian Wilkerson and Jennie Woodward were hostesses to the Neola Camp of D U P at the home of Mrs. Wilkerson last Friday Fri-day afternoon. After the lesson refreshments were served to members present. Airs. Louis E. Allred of Salt Lake City is visiting here with her daughter, Mrs. Rex L. Gardner. Gard-ner. , Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Glines and children of Vernal spent Sunday at the home of Mr. Glines' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Glines. Mrs. Tal Wardle left last week for Bremerton, Washington to visit with her husband, who is stationed there. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gardner and Mrs. Harold Whiting made a business trip to Salt Lake City the fore part of the week. La Veil Horrocks and two children chil-dren of Salt Lake City spent the week end in Neola. Pfc. Floyd Horrocks arrived home Sunday for a 10 day furlough. fur-lough. Private Horrocks is stationed sta-tioned at Camp Butner, North Carolina. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson and family have moved from Roosevelt Roose-velt to their home here for the remainder of the summer. S-Sgt. and Mrs. John Larsen and Mrs. Ellis Keel spent several days visiting at the Wm. Crozier home. Mrs. Keel returned to her home in Salt Lake City and the Larsens to Florida where Sgt. Larsen is stationed. Ulah Smithson, who is cm-ployed cm-ployed in Salt Lake, spent Sunday Sun-day here with her parents. Mrs. Walter Smith and son of Salt Lake City are visiting with Mrs. Smith's mother, Mrs. Mame Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wilkerson moved to Roosevelt last Monday where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson Peter-son spent a few days last week in Salt Lake City. L. D. Gardner and daughter Betty Gay of Salt Lake City, spent a few days visiting here with friends and relatives. T. T. Wilkerson of Salt Lake City is visiting here with his son and daughter, Thad Wilkerson Wilker-son and Rose Malnar. Marie Allred who is employed employ-ed in Ogden is visiting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Wes-ley Allred. Miss Sally Ann Peterson returned re-turned home last Saturday after spending a few weeks in Salt Lake City with her parents. Mr. and' Mrs. James Broad-hurst Broad-hurst of Salt Lake City were dinner guests at the Lionel Jensen Jen-sen home last Sunday. Tom Smith and Cyril Stout of Union were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Duncan. While they were here they enjoyed a fishing fish-ing trip up the Uintah canyon. Mrs. Leland Clegg and son of Tabiona are visiting here with her mother, Mrs. Delia Spencer. Samantha Peterson spent a few days last week visiting in Vernal. Clair Mills, who has been em-polyed em-polyed in Caliente, Nevada, is home for a visit. |
