Show BLUEBELL CX2SKSXSSX&SX&&XsXSXSS9 Pfc. Clyde H. Lisonbee arrived here last Thursday to spend a 30-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee. Clyde has been overseas the past eighteen months. Sgt. Harry Smith also arrived here this week to spend a furlough fur-lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith. Miss Virginia Kennedy of Washington is here visiting with Harry and his , parents. I Ward conference was held on Sunday afternoon, June 10th. A large crowd was present and enjoyed en-joyed the following program: Sustaining church authorities by William O. Larsen, ward clerk; financial report of the ward, by Bishop Bernard Winkler; song, Billie Powell; The following each gave a short talk, our two soldier boys, Clyde and Harry J each related experiances in their traveles; Zella Rust, stake presi-l dent of the Y W M I A.; Lucille Winkler, slake president of the Primary; William Evans stake president of the Y. M. M. I. A.; Roy Rust; Earl Case, stake clerk and Patriarch, president Leon Burton; president William Broth-erson; Broth-erson; piano duet, Agnes Larsen and Garda Seeley; talk, president presi-dent Murpy. Miss Joice Bird and Lynn Keele of Price were visiting Joyce's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Bird one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goodrich Good-rich returned from Salt Lake City on Wednesday after taking care of business. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Therning former residents of Bluebell. Miss Donna Hancock accompanied accompan-ied them home for a week's visit with her parents. A ward party was held Tuesday, Tues-day, June 5th honoring Douglas Allred and Kay Hancock home on furloughs. There was such a short part of the program there and no music available so an extemporaneous ex-temporaneous program was given giv-en which was really good. The program was solo, Lena Gale; solo, Owen Goodrich; song, Betty Lou Seeley; jokes, Martha Smith; song, Dale Cummlngs; duet Beth and Maxine Winkler; piano duet, Agnes Larsen and Garda Seeley. Among those from out of town was Forrest Hancock also home on furlough, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hancock, Mrs. Alice Howells, Mrs. Wilda Mitchell all of Pleasant Pleas-ant Valley, Sharon and Dale Cummings of Upalco, Sharon was also home on furlough. Miss Faye Lisonbee was taken to the Roosevelt hospital one THURSDAY day last week for medical treatment. treat-ment. She returned home, the following day. Lcland Goodrich took his wife, Verona to Provo- on Sunday where she will attend summer school at the B Y U, Mrs. Verona Winkler accompanied him there to visit Mr. and Mrs. Justin Winkler. They returned home on Monday. |
