the utah pioneer jubilee is ia over from every enery stan standpoint point it was a gorgeous a affair ff air a fit commemoration of the entrance into the valley fifty afif I 1 ty years previous of that sturdy land band of pioneers the advance guard of western civilization for tile the occasion occasion salt lake was handsomely decorated solomon in all his glory was hardly more g gorgeously or coils y arrayed everything was wrapped in jubilee colors of red green and gold while main street was avas a network of incandescent lights making inal cinga a brilliant scene by night it II was not distinctively a utah affair for it was participated in by resident of four states utah idaho wyoming and colorado descendents of pioneers or of those who followed within in tho the next few years and helped subdue and reclaim the mocking waste and who felt and were in fact an inseparable part of that noble band in whose honor the jubilee was held it was a pioneer jubilee unconfined by imaginary boundary lines unclaimed by the residents of any section it belonged to tire tho people and royally they enjoyed it the great array of floats were gorgeous and as seen by night nigh were dazzling in the ceremonies of the week opened with the unveiling of the monument to brigham young at the intersection of main and south temple streets surrounding the monument were all the livin living members of moyle in behalf of the brigham young t monument association presented the monument to the people of utah woodruff unveiled the monument advancing to the front of the platform he be sax said attention
