She loves all the girls who support her in the Miss Bountiful Pageant and is sure they are all pretty enough to be princesses. Beth is bringing her mother up from the south so she can take care of her. Nanella Jones visited briefly in West Bountiful. She will leave soon for Wyoming. She did have a chance to attend the Seventh Ward Birthday Party which was a success. Most of the people attending wore hobo costumes with hand- erchiefs sticking out of their pockets and wore nondescript clothing and hats. They sat on the floor to eat. They had a knapsack with enough food for each couple. It contained aluminum foil dinners, din-ners, rolls, salads and apples. Awards of Boards with appropriate inscriptions were given to the bishopric, the presidencies of the Primary and YMIA and to Ardell Byington. The outstanding one w as the one with hot dogs on it because they were told that the bishopric is the top dogs of the ward. Welcome to Naomi Milloy w ho has moved into the duplex on 1017 N. 800 W. Congratulations Congratula-tions to Jackie Eliason who graduated from Primary in the Seventh Ward. Kay Jessen will speak in sacrament meeting meet-ing on May 23 in the Seventh Ward. Ben Argyle, son of the Doug Argyles, has been working work-ing on an oil rig in Nevada. The Willard Becks traveled to Hawaii to visit with their son. They were impressed with the beautiful scenery and with the friendliness of the people. May 15 is the last day for applicants of the Miss Liberty Contest in West Bountiful for the 4th of July. The Relief Society of the Fifth Ward now has a new head. Denise Dennis was replaced re-placed by Peggy Freestone. All young women who are entering Relief Society this year are invited to attend an "Introduction of Relief Society" Socie-ty" evening. This includes all of the young women of the Bountiful West Stake. The Clark Despains had a birthday celebration for Kay Gibson and a wedding anniver sary for Clark and Susan De-spain. De-spain. Bob Telford's grandson and his wife, Rick and Patti Telford, Tel-ford, have moved into the former for-mer Bob Telford home on 8th West. Rick is the son of Dick and Josie Telford. Rick works for Western Dairy and the younv couple moved here from Orem. Bob Telford Sr. is in Idaho helping to plant crops on the land he holds in conjunction with his son, Mike. The Bud Ingles are living in Cherry Hill temporarily since their home was burned so badly. Audrey and Reed Norton were happy to visit with the Lynn Fernelius family. They are back from a trip to Arizona. Arizo-na. They likes Arizona so much they purchased land so they can spend time during the ""mmer there. |
