Show DEATH CLAIMS L W BEASON UTAH STATE ROAD OFFICIAL LEW W BEASON 48 DIES FROM I HEART AILMENT SERVED FIFTEEN YEARS OGDEN lew W beason 48 for the last 10 years northern utah district engineer ot of the state road commission died sunday evening at the family residence 2723 brinker ave neue following a long illness of heart disease ea e about three months ago mr beason returned from california where he went for his health and apparently ly patently ly had bad regained his health hut but recently suffered a paralytic stroke IN HIGHWAY IWAY WORK lie ile had been connected with the utah state road coining commission ision 15 years serving on several projects in southern utah as resident engineer previous to hn his appointment here ile he was horn born in lander wyo ort 01 may 31 1888 a son of thomas R and sarah beason ile he moved with his parents to ogden in 1900 and graduated from ogden high school in 1007 1907 ile he spent one year at purdue university indiana and later obtained a degree as electrical engineer at the massachusetts institute of at bion bog in 1914 he worked for the utah construction company several years before his appointment as a state road engineer FRATERNAL WORKER mr beason was a member of the utah association of civil engineers the ogden association of civil engineers weber lodge no 6 F A 0 ogden gd en chapter no 2 royal arch ma sons the el ba MO monte ante no 2 knights templar ogden lodge no B P 0 elks ile he married josephine munk munis october 10 1919 at manti besides his widow he is survived by a son lew rollin and a daughter annabeth deason beason ogden a I 1 brother T don beason salt lake city and his big mother mrs sarrah beason also of salt lake city funeral services wre held in ogden in the masonic temple jan 12 1937 rond road supervisor melvin P kennedy attended the funeral and represented the people of rich county A clarize wreath of 0 flowers was presented by rich county in sympathy and appreciation of t the he fine services given by mr reason beason to rich county ile he was a real engineer and will be missed a lot by the state road Comm sion and those who knew him the reaper joins with the people of rich county in extending sympathy to the bereaved family |
