Show r obituaries obituary 4 es j i JOHN LESTER OGDEN funeral services were held sunday afternoon in the sevier stake tabernacle for john lester ogden 52 who died at his home in richfield at noon thursday of a heart ailment and complications he had been ill several weeks bishop alex jensen of the third ward conducted the services the speakers were C A mattsson christian peterson Pc terson N J bates president E W poulson of the sevier stake and bishop jensen A double mixed quartet composed of mrs otto L anderson mrs airs stanley johnson mrs harold nielson mrs airs roy christensen ageDe lange floyd bell roy christen sen sell and clarence littlewood with mrs airs golden R buchanan as accompanist comp anist sang though deepening in trials oh my father and beautiful isle of somewhere talmage de lange sang face to face the invocation was by orson F christensen the benediction by G W coons F af ogden of the stake presidency dedicated the grave interment being in the city aeme cemetery tery i pallbearers Pall bearers were john W V S stewart e george henry peterson joseph hansen C P V abris and chas L ogden mr air ogden had been successful 11 as a farmer and was president of the south sevier sugar beet irrow ers association until his ecsi resignation gna a short time before his death mr air ogden 0 den had served as on an L D S missionary in the eastern states from 1914 to 1916 and later served as sunday school ent in the third ward he had been a counselor in the third ward bishopric and had worked in the M 1 I A born in richfield july 1 1886 a son of john and martha he ie had resided here all his life he married georgia hatch at rich field on july as 28 1906 surviving besides his widow wido r are thice daughters and three son harold max darlene Dar lenc B barbara ardelna and calvin ogden all of archfield one sister mrs airs walter hansen of richfield and the fol lowing half brothers and sisters eugene orrock of ely nevada mrs irene curtis and mrs airs alta anderson of richfield and mrs hillard vorhees of manti GUNEL N christensen funeral services will be held today thursday at 2 p m in the elsinore ward chapel for mrs gunel newman christensen Christens cn who died sunday morning at her home in elsinore after a long illness dorthea gunel marie newman christensen was born march 10 1879 at monroe a daughter oj of lars and ingo inga marle marie hansen newman she lived at monroe until 1901 when she married jens peter christensen in the manti mant temple and went to elsinore to make her home mr christensen died in 1920 leaving five children for mrs Airs christensen to care for A faithful member of the L D S church she served in in various capacities in the ward she sent a son george christensen to denmark on a mission surviving are two laughters daughters and three sons mrs airs kathleen christensen laura george chris and arthur christensen all of elsinore six grandchildren three brothers lars hans and yergen newman and two sisters mrs A L anderson and mrs airs J H liborius |
