Show bankers and farmers hold annual meet national leader addresses southern utah group at nephi bankers and agriculturists of southern utah attended an annual convention held friday evening at nephi at which related in teresta of farmers and bankers were discussed dan H otis of madison wisconsin director of the agricultural commission of the american bankers association addressed the group giving a summary of bank eis contributions in promoting agricultural ri industry he particularly lauded bankers of utah for compliance in every detail with the agricultural commissions program which calls for correlation ceiling a perfect score he outlined the bankers agricultural program which calles for correlation of 1 banking and farming through aiding junior agriculturists in 4 H clubs and F F A chapters as well as through activities of a key banker in each county of the nation where banks are established he showed that bankers in each community are authorized to modify the program to fit the needs of each respective locality the speaker dealt with agriculture as a major factor contributing in to the nations acono economic mic system quoting various authorities on finance and economics the meeting was attended by nearly bankers farmers county agents smith hughes instructors 4 H and P F F A chapter members in attendance from richfield were E H street cashier royal G kimball assistant cashier and J vernon erickson Enck son attorney from the richfield commercial savings bank don E kenney smith hughes instructor lynn anderton and deloy rickenbach P F F A chapter members H B crandall of salina attended and from plute county lloyd hunsaker county agent and C berdett crane smith hughes instructor made the trip twenty one members of the richfield bank and its branch offices attended the ses sion |
