Show SUCCESS CROWNS GOLD AND GREEN BALL A large crowd enjoyed the annual gold and green ball of the south sevier stake which was held thursday evening in the stake pavilion at monroe equal honors were given the queens from all wards of the stake and no selection of a stake queen was waa made A valentine motif was used in decorating the hall windows were disguised as valentines hearts attached to streamers e extending from th corners to the center of the hall made an attractive ceiling decoration the stage curtain had been converted into a large lacy valentine centered by a hart which was opened by two small girls in valentine costume to permit the entry of the queens of the ball and their attendants miss elsie jensen of monroe north ward represented the queen of snow miss dean parker of joseph the queen of spring miss edna fillmore of annabella the queen of stars miss bernece stewart of sevier the queen of flowers miss orene staples of central the queen of love miss marjorie bertelsen of the monroe south ward the queen of butterflies miss varda christensen of elsinore the queen of sunshine and miss marjorie page of marytje Marys Je the queen of bees the attendants were little girls costumed appropriately to the queens they attended the queens lovely in formal dresses each had something distinctive tive about her dress carried flowers or wore some special head dress to suggest the characterization A floor show followed presentation of the queens four couples danced the M I 1 A square dance which was followed by a demonstration of the gleam waltz by couples from all wards developing ev eloping a si millar idea ajun a junior gold and green ball was held friday nighat |
