Show unit organization plan is proposed for the PT P T at A A proposed change in the organization of parents teachers associations was discussed by mrs A J west president of the utah congress of parents and teachers mrs geo 11 II cannon secretary of that organization and mrs chas E roe field representative of the national congress of parents and teachers at meetings of P T A officers held tuesday in richfield and salina the visiting officers suggested that the P T A might remain organized as at present but that it would be advisable to have separate units formed for parents and teachers tea cheis of the elementary the junior high and high schools they also proposed appointment of committees on child welfare hospitality projects or any type of committee that would best serve the group and that some project for the year be adopted for the lenient ary school they recommended appointment of the mother of some student in each grade to be known as the mother of the grade whose duty it would be to contact the teacher and learn leam of some of the things she is trying to put before her students in which she might be given help through the home whether it be in the line of home study observance of certain health rules or other projects which the teacher might start in school but be unable to put into effect without the aid of the home for the junior high and grade school they recommended that similar work be assumed by a class advisor to ix be selected from the PT P T A on the same basis as for the elementary school |
