Show SCHOOL T 0 SHOWS DECREASE IN SEVIER DISTRICT interesting data compiled by clerk of school board the compilation of the school census for sevier district taken by teachers of the district has been completed by B C luth clerk of the school board and it is interesting to note that the number of children of school age in the district has decreased from last year to this year this decrease may be partly accounted for by the fact that a number of families have moved to kimberly which is in district and others formerly employed by the coal mines may have left the county of the children of school age 1844 are boys and 1851 girls out of that number are attending schools in this district 24 are attending public schools in utah outside this district seven are in utah private schools four are attending schools outside the state and are not enrolled in any school of the not enrolled in any school there are two boys and eight girls under eight years of age who cannot be compelled to go to school three girls and fourteen boys needed to help parents three boys and one girl over sixteen who have graduated from the eighth grade and have employment permits four boys and eight girls who are high school graduates one girl who has equivalent instruction at home seven boys and ten girls physically incapacitated four boys and two girls mentally unable to profit by instruction offered two boys and two girls who live more than two and one half miles from either school house or transportation route two boys and three girls who hold employment permits of different classification from those first mentioned twelve girls married forty four boys and fifteen girls not legally excused the number of students enrolled from the various towns follows redmond salina aurora sigurd venice 94 glenwood richfield 1024 elsinore joseph cove 72 monroe central 94 annabella koosharem Koo sharem |
