Show cheff SHOULD lack of interest in sevier county may mean loss of money the government wheat adjustment plan is not being given the consideration by as many of the wheat farmers of sevier county as it was hoped we feel that this is because it is not fully understood by them this is the assertion of the committee in charge of the plan locally and composed of the following members J R fawcett emergency agricultural assistant S R boswell county agent J F ogden county chairman wheat committee and J C horgenson extension agronomist U S A C this wheat plan is a farmers plan and should be thoroughly understood ier der stood by every wheat grower before he passes it up if all of the he wheat growers in sevier county ty come in and sign their applications 1 it will mean that an additional will be distributed among them it does not make any difference whether a man grows an acre or a thousand acres of wheat he will get his proportionate shard on an average every wheat grower will receive 30 per acre from the government for the land that is taken out of wheat production this coming season in other words the government is leasing 15 per cent of the wheat land but the land is still controlled by the farmer he may grow other crops for home consumption upon iu it the last day for signing the application tiri blank has been set by the government ws as monday september 25 this date cannot be changed there will be no opportunity to sign up either later this year or during the next two years 1934 and 1935 the last meeting for wheat growers in richfield and vicinity will be held in the court house friday evening september 22 at 8 p m come out whether you wish to sign up or not and get a full understanding of the plan |
