Show AT INSI 9 or LIONS retiring president re reviews alews work of richfield club during year thirty six couples attended the dinner and card party given by the richfield lions club last saturday evening at the johnston hotel in connection with the services that marked the installation of the new officers of that organization the following officers were duly installed by director M C nelson president joseph L asbury vice president howard A christi ti ansen secretary treasurer ray B E carr tail twister dr L A poulson lion tamer dr D B gottfredson directors W 0 duff cluff and P E harward retiring president george peterson made his closing report in which he reviewed the considerable amount of community work which the richfield lions sponsored or contributed to during the past year the new president praised the efforts of the outgo out go ing officers and appealed for the support and cooperation of the club members during his term of office miss maida stewart played two violin selections accompanied by miss mildred hansen at the piano miss geraldine fairbanks gave some humorous readings which were well received first prize at bridge was won by howard A who refused to accept it on the grounds that the beautiful floor lamp was purchased from his store and it was then awarded to the second high scorer mrs M L done consolation bridge prize went to ray E carr first prize at was won by mrs james R barker and consolation was awarded to mrs ora harmston lewis the next meeting of the richfield lions will be held next wednesday september 27 announcement will be made at this time of the appointment of the new standing committees |
