Show WHAT THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO FOR THE FARMER AND HIS WIFE No farmer can be happy without: with-out: modern convenience and no farmer's wife can enjoy life to the fullest extent unless her home is on a par that of her sister who lives in the city. First, let the government build a modern home for every farmer, equip it with the latest electric conveniences, such as electric washing machines electric ranges, electric dish washers, wash-ers, manglers, churns, electric irons, hair curlers, etc., electric piano, some late model of radio, a large Vdctrola with a selection of 200 or more records. These should include one each of the following: 'America," "The Star Spangled Banner," "iNearer My God to Thee," and "Silver Threads A-raong A-raong the Gold," with the other 196 of the latest and most popular popu-lar "jazz." - The surroundings should be made attractive. A large barn with wings large enough to hold all farm machinery such as trac- tors, mowing machines, auto trucks and three or four pleasure cars. The barn should have an electric derick to st-ore hay, electric elec-tric fork, electric ' milkers, electric elec-tric lights, etc. No farmer can be happy when he has something to worry about so why not make them all happy. The government should at least make their home life happy. |
