Show hunting accident is fatal to parker boy from joseph vernon vemon J parker 16 son of mr and mrs airs J elbert albert parker of jos eph was fatally wounded on sunday afternoon when he was accidentally shot while hunting the boy died here at about 11 monday morning as he was being taken from a car to the hospital to undergo an operation in an effort to save his life the boy did not regain consciousness after the accident A shot lodged near the brain resulted in hemorrhage which caused his death youn young parker was accidentally shot b by y his companion lacel barney another joseph youth while they were hunting in the fields about two miles from the parker home when a bird flew up the barney boy shot through a corn field not knowing that his companion was within range of the gun the parker boy received a large part of the charge from the shotgun in the head and shoulders and the attendant shock aggravated his condition he had lain in the field about an hour af after ter being shot before larcel could bring aid to him no inquest will be held funeral services were held at 1 p m wednesday october 19 in L the joseph ward chapel vernon vemon J parker was born bom at roosevelt december 25 1915 a son of J elbert and zina snow parker since he was a small chud child the family have made their home at joseph where mr parker is bishop of the joseph ward surviving are the parents and the following brothers and sisters iris lynn sylvia fay margaret melba joyce and janice parker all of joseph vernon vemon was the eldest child in the family |
