| Show LIONS CLUB HIGHWAY C 0 N S T 0 U C T 10 N forestry engineer will examine canyon road possibilities the monroe lions club held a regular meeting in the city library monday evening with first vice president boyd brown in charge the principal matter discussed was the major road projects and other highways lion elliott larsen of the roads and highways committee reported that the regional engineer from the forest office at ogden will be here sometime this month to examine the monroe canyon to ascertain the feasibility and necessity of constructing ting a road into that fisher mens paradise he also reported that the d dis s brict engineer J E garn gam of the state highway department had asked for an appropriation for considerable onside rable work on the monroe loop or the ro road ad from the sugar factory actori through monroe to jos eph which has been under the sec secondary andary state highway system of roads since may 11 of this year the road will be torn up and resurfaced and considerable right of way may bo be purchased west of the joseph hill through the east cast fields of joseph where the road will proceed direct to the river bridge some changes will also be made in the hill bill road over the divide on this road the club will use every influence en cc to secure work for men out of employment in this region tributary to this road |
