| Show WANTED A HOSPITAL the airplane crash just cas cast t of richfield lUch field monday brings to all of us mole moie potently than ever beffie perhaps pei pel haps the need of a county hospital in richfield two young men were seriously and one fatally injured in this accident and there was no ambulance to transport them and no lo hospital spital other than the inadequate facilities offered in a private home here which has been made to serve as a sort of hospital we have been informed that there is a well defined state law requiring that each county maintain a public hospital even if such information is not correct it is a sad ic ie upon our oui i civic ie and a smirch 1 upon so called progressiveness that there is not such an in institutions institution liere here every day thre is imminent danger that human lives may be lost because of our dilatory proceeding toward the accomplishment of this aim which has been brought up repeatedly levs lets have action and have it soon iiii the local physicians have in times past pledged many j ands of dollars for this pur purpose but for some reason or other the matter has been delayed sometime this negligence is going to strike home to you and to me by the death of sonic some of our loved ones who might have been saved if we had adequate hospital facilities one human life would be worth the entire cost of such an institution we have a central civic committee here in richfield which represents tile the various organizations that are working for the public welfare and they have already demonstrate ed their effective effectiveness nes in many ways let us hope that they will turn their serious attention to the hospital question and keep everlastingly evel lastingly at it until this much needed institution is built |
