in public speaking the retold story one act pay play production a ladies double trio double mixed quartet and male quartet I 1 A contest in the gold and green cotillion is also scheduled for the remainder lema iema inder of the day a track meet is scheduled and a dance in the evening will conclude the activities the winners of these contests will compete with winners of the other stakes mistakes for district honors golden wedding celebrated mr and mrs W G C morrison cleb celebrated celebrated rated their golden wedding an wednesday five of their sik children chil dien and their families were with them A dinner was given at the home of mrs elliot larsen who was ass sited by mrs mack black morrison A color scheme of gold and orchid was used in nut baskets and other table niels sorensen and keister peterson sorensen was born at manti and spent her childhood at washington utah the morrisons Morri sons resided in monroe thirty years six of their children are living mrs walter suter of globe ariz being the only one who was unable to attend the event those present were wm win jr andrew and mack morrison mrs airs elliot larsen of monroe and lamar morrison of los angeles sixteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter grand daughter 1 participated also many congratulations cards and telegrams were received some beautiful gifts were received by the honolee couple A childrens party officers day of the club was a source of delightful amusement at the home of mrs airs ruth jones friday when tile the ladies of the club stepped back a few years an and were delighted with the tribute paid them the numbers in which the e children excelled and tb the beautiful booklets booklet they received as tokens from the organization I 1 in connection with the sacrament meetings a special program h honoring honoring mothers was given sunday afternoon north ward bazaar almost ready the bazaar preparations are going ahead rapidly and next tuesday at the coith ward relief society rooms all will be in readiness for that organization to supply everything in the line of clothing quilts novelties and fancy things such as every woman in there will bo be on hand also ice cream and dainties with good lunches such as only the amusement committee knows how to prepare an invitation is extended to everybody to come and look buy and eat honors birthday mrs theron participate in a program sponsored by tile the club as a conclusion to the okeh teeth contest that has been waged in the schools since february each grade furnished a number on the pi pl miss willes the district school nurse complimented the children on the success of the contest and remarked that the number of okeh slips presented in each grade was beyond her expectation she also announced that may alay I 1 will be observed each year as childs health day dav and this day will annually conclude some health contest similar to the one just finis finished bed mrs hirs alta magleby announced the winners and the prizes to be awarded the fifth grade with mrs tess whiting teacher won first prize a penn pennant ant having per cent okeh teeth A cash prize was awarded the seventh grade irene tuft teacher which rated second with eighty eight per cent other grades made a very good showing following the program the club served ice cream to the children local and personal among those who went to ephraim friday to participate in the senior day activities were ardell jensen madge marjory sargent georgia anderson cecil bertelsen dwight swindle fred goold alfred anderson nd roli aid keith bohman tile the two wards have discontinued their M 1 A meetings for the summer season however some recreational activities will be put over during the summer months montha mrs airs soren madsen entertained
