| Show IS LAID TO REST funeral services were nvere held in n the third ward chapel sunday afternoon funeral services were held sunday afternoon in the third waid chapel for mrs margaret ann adams who tied died thursday after a lingering illness covering a period of about four years bishop H J hansen officiated at the services the speakers were mrs L P hansen P C B peterson anti and L P hansen bishop H J hansen also made a few closing le marks the musical pl program was wa furnished by the ward choir alex ale jensen offered offeit d the opening prayer and charles wilson the benediction lic tion A profusion of beautiful floral offerings decked the bier and a long cortege followed the remains to the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by bishop H J hansen margaret ann adams was born bom in virgin vi agin city washington county january 11 1860 the laughter daughter of mr and mrs david shuts she was the second ec ond white child born in virgin city and having spent all her life in this section of the state has experienced i and assisted in the pioneer development work of the southern part of the state for the past twelve years ears mrs adams has lived at intervals in r va Is in richfield spending part of her time with her children in cedar city mrs adams was the widow of R N adams who preceded her in death about four years ago she is survived by the dihe following children R D adams of cedar city mrs alm W al morrell of of duchesne mrs margaret pitts of marys vale mrs L C layton of benton city washington mrs vivian smith of cedar city W B adams of lundale calif mrs velaria clellan of coatsville Coats ville kansas and mrs golda johnson of fullerton california all of the children except mrs morrell mrs layton and mrs clellan were here to attend the funeral the following brothers and sisters also survive moroni shirts of escalante george shirts shirt of salt lake city john shirts of uintah county mrs mary arary ellen hansen of heber city and alice shirts of perron all of whom were here for the funeral |
