| Show I 1 RICHFIELD BEATS MONROE IN spectacular GAME in a friendly but hotly holly contested game richfield high nosed out monroe last friday by a score of 3 to 0 tile the game was fiercely fought from start to finish and although richfield had the better or 0 things excepting I 1 ng for a short period in the fourth quarter tho the scrappy monroe players quit fighting for a single second richfield had tour four chances to put over a touchdown but failed in every attempt four times they carried the ball inside monroen monroes Mon luon roes res 10 yard line but each time failed to put the ball across the fifth time they threatened their opponents goal they succeeded in putting over a drop dropkick kick which proved to be the only scoring in tho the game monroe was on the defense practically throughout the game but by their stubborn defense they kept richfield in hand when necessary in the fourth quarter just after r richfield scored with their dropkick drop kick the monroe team staged a splendid rally and started down the field in a most dangerously determined manner but were stopped on their opponents 35 yard line for monroe captain baker lee and williams did the best work whilo while for richfield gray and nelson were most conspicuous |
