Show RICHFIELD WINS INTERCITY RIFLE MATCH the past week has been one of the busiest in the history of the richfield Rich Held rifle club As a result of a challenge extended to the other rifle clubs of the state through the pages of the salt lake tribune secretary luth received a letter from the president or of the salt lake rifle and revolver club advising that they were more than glad to enter into competition with the local riflemen all arrangements for the match were made and the match shot oft off tuesday evening A great deal of time and effort was spent by the team representing richfield in preparing for this event which is the first intercity inter city match ever entered by this club at most any time of the day or evening the crack of the guns could be heard by persons passing the indoor range of the club some exceptionally good scores were run up by the men during this practice work their scores ranging ran gine from to out of a possible to select the team an elimination shoot was held this consisted of three strings of scores by each member ber desirous of securing a place on oil tho the team these scores were averaged up for each competitor the five highest men being selected the members of the team were S W andreason B C luth abe hansen N M andreason and W L payne it was required that each man selected for the team fire several hundred rounds of ammunition before lie he night of the shoot that their time was well spent is shown by the box score given below pt score down ble S W andreason 2 00 N 11 andreason 5 00 B C luth 6 00 abe hansen 8 00 W L payne 10 00 totals tor for team 31 1000 A telegram received by secretary luth this morning from the salt it lake club advises that their total score was and that he highest score by a member of their team was therefore the members of the richfield aggregation are more than happy over the outcome of tile tho match |
