| Show VICTORY MEDALS TO BE GIVEN TO OF SERVICE ay anny field F eld clerk hero and applina Ap tiou jou blanks are now available for service men E B wilburn army 1 field clerk Ns as hero this week in t the he interest of victory medal distribution di st lb ution it will be remembered that congress authorized the bissu issuance ance of medals to the service men wile who served during the world var v A ar clerk wilburn brought with him the official application blanks and left a supply at the local army recruiting cr station in the federal building and another supply with adjutant james carron carroll of the jenson col by post ot or the american legion at the johnston hotel these blanks must be filled out in duplicate on oil the typewriter aud and signed in duplicate in ink the applications should bo be mailed to the salt lake army recruiting office together with discharge papers or certified copy thereof all service sen ice men from april G 1917 1017 to november 11 1918 or those who served in siberia or european russia after that date are entitled to a medal provision has been made whereby the next of kin to any man mail who died in the service may secure the medal and particular attention is being given this class of 0 application by lieutenant laughlin in ill charge of the victory medal distribution medals will bo be sent to applicants applicant 8 within a month after the application is made and approved by the salt lako office all service men in this vicinity should avail themselves of the opportunity of securing this lasting memento of tho the greatest event in their lives their service to their country in time of trouble |
