| Show ADMI sy SEVIER W 0 erickson erichson seeking information regarding fuel N needs neds eds of people of aelier valley W 0 erickson has been named to take charge of fuel conditions in sevier county and he has started a vigorous campaign to find out just how much fuel is already on hand who has possession of it how much is ordered and how much is needed to carry the people through the winter A questionable question arie arle is being circulated among families of the county asking for this information amount of coal on hand amount required to mar alar 1 1917 amount ordered not yet delivered dealer from whom ordered these questions will find their way into every house in the county the object is to see that there is as even a distribution of fuel as possible so that there will be no suffering from cold another feature that mr erickson is urging is the hauling of wood from the mountains the forest reserve people have had specific in from the govern government Lent to give every possible aid in pi aciL affie ie large tuel luel supply of the national forests in the hands of the people new roads may have to be constructed to reach this fuel supply but every man mail with a team and wagon will be e expected to haul wood from the hills and thus help out in the fuel supply k it is possible that coal veins in salina canyon will also be made to yield a fuel supply and men will be urged to get coal from this source the fuel administrator has the duty imposed upon him to see that prices are arc kept within bounds on oil a visit to one town in the county this week situated on oil the railroad he found that coal was as being sold at per ton at the yard while at a neighboring town off the railroad the same bamo coal ats was being sold tor for per ton coal dealers will be curtailed tit in the price charged and prices will not be permitted one town in the county had a c couple of cars delivered and the dealer toli told the buyers that he could have got S per ton for the coal at richfield this dealer did not know that an all official is now on oil the job to prevent any such prices the price of coal will not go beyond bounds and the work of the fuel administrator will bo be to see that there is no suffering nering su for want of fuel on one hand while others are avei stocked with fuel E W ezickson ickson Ei of the district school and C J sumner will bo be call oil cd as aides to W V 0 erickson in the management of fuel conditions in the county |
