E. Lamb, Wales Solo, Mrs. Ina Jones, Mt.. Pleasant Remarks, President, S. M. Nielsoa of Mt. Pleasant. 1 j Vocal Solo, Mrs. Scnoneid, of Spriiw ' City j Reading, Miss Wilma Bjelkie, of Mt i Pleasant. Piano solo, Mrs. Madsen, of Pairview Reading, Bishop E. J. Johnson, of Fountain Green. An elaborate luncheon was served to over 150 people. The program during the luncheon was as follows. Piano solo, Denice Guyman. Stunt by Fairview South ward Cello solo, Roy F. Millet. A number of comic readings by Bishop E. J. Johnson. ' After luncheon was served, the remainder re-mainder of the evening was spent in dancing. ' Mrs. Ivan Hamilton and daughter Grace Lee have gone to St. George to spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Soren P. Mikkelson and son Bobbie of Coalville spent a couple of days last week visiting his mother Mary A. Mikkelson. The Home Economics club held their monthly meeting, Friday the 8th. A program and games and a Water melon bust; was enjoyed. The following students have gone to attend school at the Snow college, at Ephraim, Miss Evanelle Anderson, Ger-aldine Ger-aldine Allred, Relia Mikkelson, Alice Smyth,. Delia Robertson, Ross Coombs and Seymore Mikkelson. Mr. and Mrs. Varnon Pickett of Toponish Washington, are visiting at the home of her mother, Mrs. Clara Conlson. Orland Morgan has returned from Toponish Washington, where he has had employment for the past 18 months. Mrs. Lilly Robertson is very much improved after a months illness. The social hour club held a Winnie and marshmellow Roast at the City Water Works Head House last Tuesday night. Those who enjoyed the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Antone Frandson, Mr. and Mrs. Will Sorenson, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Barentson, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Amnion Crowther, Mary A. Mikkelson and Zina Jacobsen. Mrs. Harvy Holman entertained the members of the Just A Mere Club and husbands at a party Monday night. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. June Collard, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Holman, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Allred, Harvey Holman. A dainty luncheon was served. ser-ved. LaVerne Oldroyd entertained .the members of the G-B club at her home Thursday af ternoon.A deligntful luncheon lunch-eon was served and an enjoyable afternoon after-noon was spent. Emma Seely left on Friday for San ! Francisco with her mother where they will spend 2 weeks visiting at the home of Blaine Watson. Mr. and Mrs. Jas F. Robertson accompanied ac-companied their son Monte to Logan on j Fridav, where he will attend school at the U. A. C. . Orin Jackson and Miss Ora Johnson of Provo who has just returned from a 2 years mission were the speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. The Relief Society will hold its opening social Tuesday September 18th. A program and refreshments will be given. A flower show will be held in connection with the social. Prizes will be given and Mr. Evershed of Manti will be the judge of who should re- ,! ceive the awards. Mrs. Loren Jensen is at the L. D. S. Hospital where she is recovering from a serious operation. The following members of the Sorosis club and their husbands enjoyed an cuting to arrowhead Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Oldroyd, Mr. and Mrs. Joe : Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Farril Hansen, Ethel Anderson, Berdie Hanson, Rose Guymon, Viola Jensen. A delicious luncheon was served and all enjoyed the swimming pool, At Payson Park, the ; party stopped and had a water melon bust. |
