The Harmonica Band gave a number of selections of music aiw singing. Although Fairview didn't give Moroni much recognition they put their program over to the largest crowd present to any of the programs. pro-grams. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Morley entertained enter-tained Saturday night in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Rasmussen of Fairview, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cox of Manti, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Whitlock of Mayfield, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Johnson of Ephraim, Mr. and Mrs. Valdon Mortensen of Ephraim, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Martin of Chester, Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Peel of Mt. Pleasant and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morley of Moroni. Mo-roni. Mrs. c. W. Jensen entertained the Sorosis club Thursday afternoon after-noon at her home. Those present were the Mesdames Elmo Irons, Blaine Draper, Leo Morley, Lloyd Blackham, Ellis Draper, Ray Anderson An-derson and Russel Bailey. Mrs. Nida Bradley was a special euest Refreshments were served. Mr. Ben Monson was elected State Register at a special meeting meet-ing held at Fairview Thursday afternoon during the Black Hawk encampment. He is now a member of the state officials for the Black Hawk war veterans. Mrs. John Irons and Mrs. Leo Morley spent Friday in Ephraim visiting friends. Mrs. Isaac Sorensen visited relatives rel-atives in Manti last week end. Mrs. Hyrum Blackham Jr. and daughter, Rachel, are visiting relatives in McGill, Nevada. Mrs. Olive D. Anderson announces announ-ces the marriage of her son, Grant, to Miss Dee Wrim of McGill, Mc-Gill, Nevada. They were married in Provo August 4th. It was no doubt a surprise to his manv friends. They visited in Moroni the past week and returned home Monday. They will make their home in Ely, Nevada. Robert, the six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Anderson, passed away at their home Tuesday Tues-day morning after sixteen days illness from Scarlet Fever. Out door services were held Wednesday. Besides his parents he is survived sur-vived by the following brothers and sisters: Udell, Boyde, Maxine, Wanda and Vauneal Anderson; a1-so a1-so his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Anderson, all of Moroni. The community extends their deepest sympathy to the family. |
