Show Girls Day at the N. S. High School Girls Day was observed at North Sanpete high school Wednesday with Miss Margaret Peel, A. F. president, in charge. The mothers were special guests and the following program was presented in their honor at 10 a. m. in the auditorium aud-itorium : Girls' chorus "Brightly the Stars are Shining." Welcome address Miss Margaret Peel. Reading Miss Vera Justesen. Piano selection Miss Ida Garlic. Talks were given by district nurse, Mrs. Victoria B. Christensen and Mrs. Obed Nelson. Awards were presented by Miss Marie Danielsen, Dean of Women, as I follows: Essays, "Closer Cooperation between Mothers and Daughters." . Miss Bernitta Frandsen, first $3.00; Miss Wilrna Bjelke, second, $2.00. Health: Miss Nina Nielson, first, $3.00; Miss Wanda Nelson, second, 2.00 Oirls chorus "By the Waters of Minnetonka." Fancy dance girls, directed by Miss Louise Ericksen. One act play, "When Rosie Enters," with Norma Peterson, Verda Anderson, Fern Olsen and Edna Jensen in the cast. Luncheon was served at noon to 300 guests, girls and mothers, by the A F. club officers, Miss Margaret Peel, Miss Anna Sorenson and Miss Louise Fowles. Regular class work was visited by the mothers during the afternoon and a dancing party in the gymnasium in the evening concluded the days activities. |
